Yow! I can’t believe how long it has been since I’ve clogged. So much has happened around here, I don’t even know where to begin…. unacceptable. I will try not to go this long without a post, for those of you who actually take the time to read this hot mess.
I am 100% healed. I have started running… short intervals at a time, and I’m working out at the gym, since temperatures in Alabama have reached triple digits. I have been doing a lot of swimming, biking, and stretching. I have no pain, and am so thankful to be a healed woman!
Bud & Nance moved out of their farm in Ohio. I went up there for a week in June, one last time. That was a difficult trip. So many memories… it was tough to say goodbye. But, we kept reminding each other we are all going to live in the same place. Party!
They hauled their belongings down to Alabama and are keeping them in storage until their house is complete. They are building a house a few miles from ours… it’s going to be beautiful. Of course, they are downsizing from a 15 acre farm… but they are really looking forward to less maintenance (aren’t we all?).
The house will not be complete until September 1st, so they are taking an extended road trip out West. Honestly, I think this will be the longest period of time my parents have been together in one place. Bud thinks he will want to kill himself when it is complete… but I know they are having a great time. Nance has been sending me awesome pictures along the way. What I wouldn’t give to be a bug on that windshield. They finally made it to Montana last night, where the rest of my family is for a couple weeks.
Here at home, it has been 95+ degrees everyday, and we are dog sitting the twinnies. The 4th of a July was pretty chill at the Ireland home, with the exception of Maggie the dog, going buck wild over the fireworks. I don’t think we’ve slept in 3 days… and I’m just hoping people have finally shot off their last firework and/or gun shot. Yeehaw!!
Here’s to a sizzlin’ summatime. Next clog I will tell you about the fiasco we encountered by taking all four K9s to Oak Mountain… and Bud laying down the hammer at his home inspection.
