Our 2.5 year old Adam is the newest little fish at Goldfish Swim School!

So here’s the deal, I held off on putting Adam in swim classes until he was really old enough to fully grasp the skills. The argument could be made to enroll children as young as 4 months, and I’m a full supporter of that, but Adam never had a fear of water. He’s been hanging out at the swimming pool the last three summers and watching his brother and sister in their weekly swim classes for years!

So, I decided to hold off. Earlier this summer, I decided he was ready and from the time he entered his first class… there has been no turning back!

His first class at Goldfish Swim School was so much fun to watch. He jumped right in and went underwater without batting an eye. He also was able to climb out of the pool on the side without any assistance! Luke and Eden were on the sidelines cheering him on the entire way.

There are so many benefits of enrolling your child into swim at a young age. Eden started lessons at 2.5 and is now 5 years old. Almost 3 consecutive years of weekly swim lessons have proven to be such a tremendous value for our family. The expertise and patience of the staff is remarkable and we are so happy all three children will know how to swim safely.

It’s been awhile since I’ve chatted about the basics of classes at GSS, so I’m breaking it down for you today!

Goldfish Swim School believes that your child deserves to have an incredible swimming experience in the safest and most fun environment possible. The swimming lessons are specially designed to make learning fun through guided play for beginners from 4 months to 12 years old, including infant swim lessons, toddler swim lessons, and more.

Goldfish is committed to helping children make waves in life through award-winning swim lessons that offer experienced guidance in swim techniques as well as important information about water safety.

Swimming lessons are offered year-round with a low 4:1 maximum student-to-teacher-ratio to ensure that your child receives the most patience, supervision and guidance. Let me just tell you, the class sizes make all the difference in the world! Sometimes during the winter months, our kids will have one-on-one lessons depending on the time of year.

Their attentive instructors are passionate about showing kids just how fun it can be to learn a life skill that’s as important as swimming, and it really shows. In the three years we’ve been with Goldfish I have not run across one instructor who wasn’t happy to help and had a great attitude toward the children. A few of them have become our kids personal cheerleaders 🙂

Not only do the flexible class times work well with busy schedules but the specially structured programs will motivate your child to rise through the levels, and Goldfish Swim School is here to celebrate every achievement along the way.

Luke is close to graduating out of the weekly lessons and we will make a decision whether or not he wants to join Swim Force (swim team). Eden still has a few classes to go, and Adam…well, he’s just beginning! Needless to say, we will be with Goldfish for quite a few more years!
