Hey, Jude…
One year ago today I had my most challenging delivery.
We didn’t know the gender, but you got stuck during delivery.
I remember a team of 12-15 people rushing into my room. I remember 4 nurses pushing on my belly as hard as they could. I remember the doctor shouting orders. I remember someone telling them to prepare the O.R. because the baby wasn’t out yet.
90 seconds.
For 90 full seconds your head was out but your body was stuck until my doctor broke your collarbone and you were born.
I remember a nurse coming over to me and saying: “the baby is out, can i tell you the gender? we need to rush baby to see a doctor.”
I said yes.
She said, “It’s a boy.”
You finally started crying and everyone let out a sigh of relief.
They set you on my chest. I looked down with tearful eyes and said:
“Hey, Jude.” 🤍

Happy birthday to our 𝕎𝕀𝕃𝔻 𝕆ℕ𝔼.
Our sweet Judie pie, as Adam says: “My favorite kind of pie.”
It’s been such a fabulous year with you, Jude.
You are adored by every single person in our family, but you often choose Luke.
You love trains and cars and golf and spaghetti and snuggling with mom.
You’ve been a spectator at every golf tournament, ballet class and homeschool lesson.
You may never know how much joy you have brought our family.
We love every single thing about you…we love your laugh, your constant smile, your big brown eyes and 8 little teeth.
We simply can not remember life before you. Thank you, Jude for making our lives so much better, better, better….
Hey Jude, don’t let me down
She has found you, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better
Better, better, better…. 🤍
Love,
Mom
