During the holidays, I probably throw on an extra 5 or so pounds like the next person. Yes, I’m still working out religiously- but I am also letting myself indulge in the flavors of the season. Well, mostly holiday cocktails and cookies…
So today, I wanted to serve up 5 of my favorite Christmas cocktails to enjoy Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or really any time before we have to make those dreaded New Year’s resolutions. Oy!

- COUSIN EDDIE’S CRANBERRY MULE
- 4 ounces Cranberry Juice
- 3 ounces Ginger Beer
- 2 ounces vodka
- juice from half a lime
- handful of fresh cranberries and a lime wedge for garnish
- MERRY CHRISTMAS YA FILTHY ANIMAL MOJITO
- juice of 1 lime
- 8 mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons white rum
- 1 tablespoon coconut rum
- 1/4 cup canned coconut milk
- splash of sparkling water
- fresh pomegranates and mint for garnish
- HAP-HAP-HAPPIEST HOT TODDY
- 3/4 cup water
- juice from half a lemon
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 ounces of whiskey or bourbon
- cinnamon stick
- this is served warm
- YOU’LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT CHRISTMAS ALE
- 1/2 cup Sugar in the Raw
- 1 table spoon of cinnamon
- honey to coat the rim of a glass
- dip glass in sugar in the raw + cinnamon mix
- pour chilled Christmas Ale in glass
- HOLY SH*T WHERE’S THE TYLENOL OLD FASHIONED
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar (muddled)
- a dash of bitters
- 2 ounces bourbon
- orange peel
