TV News
I spent 10 years working in the TV news business.
I started my career at WTAP in Parkersburg, WV. After 2 years, I packed my bags and headed to the deep South. I spent almost 7 years in Birmingham, Alabama working every shift imaginable at CBS42. I met a lot of incredible people, reported on lots of tornadoes, and traveled to 3 National Championship games. It’s in Alabama where I met my husband and our first child was born.
Our family left Alabama and moved to Lexington, KY where I worked for 2 years at WLEX-TV…the same station I interned at during my time at the University of Kentucky. We then moved to Savannah, GA. Savannah is where my husband and I hope to return to one day. Who doesn’t adore those Spanish Moss trees?!
I’m sharing these pieces with you because the news business was such a big part of my life and it made me who I am today.
I still freelance today doing various TV spots around the country from the comfort of my own home. Here are a few clips from my previous news life…
