We came, we saw, we conquered Saugatuck, Michigan for the second year in a row! This time around my best friend brought her absolutely adorable 6 month old and I was the one who DD’d.
Saugatuck is such a quaint little town on Lake Michigan with absolutely breathtaking views. One of our favorite memories of this trip was taking walks along the shoreline admiring the million dollar mansions. Ahhhhh, the life.
I don’t know what you all do on your girls trips, but ours consisted of excess amounts of coffee, non alcoholic wine for me, a 1,000 piece puzzle, Netflix and TUMS. 😂This year our rental home was walking distance to the beach, even though the weather wasn’t super hot… we enjoyed an afternoon or two on the water.
We ate breakfast twice at our favorite spot Grow. The cold brew chocolate milk there is to die for and something I looked forward to all year long.
Two of our evenings were spent eating dinner at the cottage and puzzling. Y’all jealous yet?! We also spent an afternoon exploring Holland, the cutest little town in the area filled with breweries, cafes and boutiques shopping.
There were too many hilarious moments to mention here and way too many inside jokes, so it’s probably not worth sharing… but one thing we can all relate to… girls trips away from the kids and husband are great for the soul. It’s something we have vowed to do every summer until we are too old to drink wine.
Do you go on girls trips with your besties? If so, where are your favorite places to visit and what do you enjoy doing the most??
We are looking for a new spot for next summer!
